Project Beige
Amazon is very well known for its Prime deliveries, but Edge Concrete knows them better for the 9000 cubic yards of concrete, and 150 tons of rebar we tied and placed for their sortation facility in Fife, WA.
Fife is a city located in Pierce County and is a suburb of Tacoma. Its well known as being contained within the Puyallup Indian Reservation and acts as a perfect location for a sortation facility.
Project Beige was one of our largest concrete pours to date. We teamed up with Alston Construction, the general contractor for this 516,635 square foot, new built-to-suit tilt-up sortation facility. This sits on a 42.5-acre site and includes 123 loading docks as well as 193,364 square foot mezzanine.
Our scope of work included exterior site concrete on grade, with curbs, heavy duty reinforced concrete truck docks and loading dock ramp walls. We poured concrete for large trailer parking, sidewalks, ADA ramps and even did the sealing, and subcontracted out the saw cutting.
Project Beige concluded in the summer of 2021 and has created a great working relationship between Edge Concrete WA and Alston Construction.
